The beach of Paal 9 is nearby. Enjoy playing volleyball or flying a kite on the beach. That's what makes a trip to Texel so special!
Also blow into the pavilion. Sandy boots or large groups? They are used to it at Paal 9. You can also rent the beach room for a BBQ or buffet.

Spar Supermarket
The Spar Supermarket is within walking distance in the heart of Den Hoorn. A complete range, with many fresh and local products. You park in front of the door; that's practically smashing! Take a drive in the morning for oven-fresh bread rolls. Tip: bring Texel products for those who stay at home or Texel lamb from the traditional butcher's shop.

The Colorful Experience Be
Against the dunes, lies a 'do-and-experience' paradise. You can make soap, candles, beer and liqueurs there.
Bake bread or eat homemade cake in the tea garden. What else you will encounter: playground equipment, go-karts, goats, peacocks and… experience it for yourself!

Ecomare
When you are on Texel, you naturally want to see seals. In Ecomare you can do this from very close by, thanks to the seal sanctuary that is located here.
And Ecomare has much more to offer, so much that you can spend a fun and interesting day out with the whole family.

Museums
The fact that Texel has an interesting past can be seen everywhere on the island. From the boulders on the beach to the bullet holes in the lighthouse, they all raise questions. The people of Texel like to talk about it in the museums on the island. Enjoy – even if the weather is not so nice on a day – of beautiful stories about seals, beachcombing and seafaring life.
